Werner Fleischmann, owner of the Historic Hotel Brunswick, has performed a feasibility study with the Northern Arizona University. Overall, the study shows that there is potential for a boutique Hotel at Route 66. Brunswick could offer a combination of unique rooms, restaurant and a combination with Beale Celebration as an Event center, also for wedding receptions etc.. It is recommended, that it needs additional parking and a review of the room concept. The study also recommends the Kingman Downtown area to be revitalized.
The owner decided, to finish the remodeling of Phase II, which is the back building of the Ice Cream and Bakery Shop, that experienced a good start. There will be two suites installed and a portion of the courtyard, completed by November. The extensive outstanding work will then be the remodeling of the Hotel and the Restaurant. The owner decided to wait till additional planning - involving third parties - will be completed. He hopes, to continue the process in about 2 years.
